SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPEMENT: Gertrude thinks about tomorrow

With the accession to the United Nations program, in early 2009, the Gertrude DEVDU committee tried to gradually implement the

principles adopted in the charter established by our company.

Under the charter approved by the United Nations, our company has launched several types of actions, they reinforce jointly by :

• The launch of « sites » with their respective monitoring (energy conservation, paper recycling, eco responsible purchase, recovery of batteries and accumulators, etc.). Staff receiving by email reporting on committee meetings.

• A general information and awareness of Gertrude’ staff of the fundamental issues of « Global Compact » with a newsletter         « DEVDU info » appearing several times a year and sent by mail.

• A strong desire to communicate internally on the steps taken and results achieved.

• A desire to better communicate externally, through this website, but also by the presentation of the engagement of Gertrude in the records of responses to tenders.

• The willingness to act in concert with our partners.

The conviction of Gertrude’ Management and DEVDU committee members to lead a responsible approach are reinforced after one year of operation.

In 2010, Gertrude prepares an annual report on its sustainable development activities, which will be sent to the Secretary of the United Nations. It is a major condition to remain as a member of the « Global Compact » and demonstrate our determination.
