GERTRUDE SAEM is able to develop its software and test its products in laboratories, as well as its traffic control system. It can also analyse its traffic management and project design parameters.

Renowned expertise

Thanks to its expertise in tram priority management, GERTRUDE SAEM owns the patent ‘Process and device for management of priorities for public transport vehicles’. Its contribution to specific studies, to integration into the traffic system, and to all the adjustments of the programming parameters has ensured the correct operation and success of the tram networks in Montpellier and Bordeaux.

Diversification of activities and products offered to local authorities

In 2005, GERTRUDE SAEM extended its range of products with the Traffic Information service.

This service gives real-time information to motorists about traffic conditions in the urban network. In Bordeaux, for example, this data is transmitted via France Bleue Gironde radio, via a telephone server and a website.

In the near future, the company will also be proposing a means of informing motorists about journey times in urban areas using VMS (variable message signs) or other media (mobile telephone, GPS…) and will incorporate dynamic signing to guide users to car-parks.
